I am suffering from pcod my periods are irregular. I didn't get my period last month fir mujhe 18 july ki thoda bahut spotting suru hui which is continuous till date also I am trying for pregnancy since last year but not succeed. So I consulted my Dr. she advice me to take these medications. regestrone, glycomet,ecosprin, zifi 200, cicrosoda but I google all the medicine an found that estrogen is for birth control and not good for those who preparing 4 pregnancy pls suggest m that whether I should take these medications or not pls I am very much in problem.

Hi. lybrate-user. I understand your worry. It's actually used to regularise your periods. If you are worried. Ask your consultant to plan for pregnancy kind of tablets like ovulation induction which itself cam make your periods regular.

Such irregular prolonged menses and scanty prolonged bleeding can occur in pcod cases. Registrone is a progesterone and not an oestrogen. Progesterone is given to stop such bleeding and when it is stoped one usually have normal menses. Once you hv normal menses then you can go to a gynecologist n get treatment to become pregnant.
