Ideally its available as 21 days package---- start from day 5 to day 25 of your periods. Then wait for your periods. Once it comes, start on day 5 again.

Yes you can take duoluton l as a contraceptive but I will suggest you take an alternative contraceptive pills which contains lesser amount of estrogen and third generation progesterone. Duoluton l contains .05 mg of estrogen whereas newer contraceptive contain much lesser estrogen as well as third generation lipid friendly progesterone. The pill is better to be started on the 1st day of the cycle, it is continued for 21 consecutive days preferably at the same time and then have a 7 day break .next pack should be started on the 8 th day irrespective of bleeding. Thus a simple regimen of 3 weeks on and 1 week off is to be followed.
