My baby is 21 days old. At the time of delivery he got infected with meconium infection. Can this be a reason for meningitis and retinopathy of prematurity. He is taking vancomycin, amikacin and meropenem.

Hello dear, various cause may be 1)- may be she was infected before delivery that lead to meconium and premature delivery followed by retinopathy. 2)- due to some stress ful situations meconium was passed by baby and baby became prone to infection and after delivery retinopathy developed premature baby are always prone for infections.
