I am 22 year old female and I have seen that my tongue has a white coating and some of it goes away after cleaning my tongue and the next day I have it again. I have been having this problem after my gums started bleeding and are swollen since a few months and I am asked to go for dental cleanup. Is the white tongue problem linked to it? I do not have any more symptoms. Will it get better or is it something serious? What can I do to help clean my tongue entirely. I need some advice.

You may have problem of oral thrush, which is a fungal infection. Consult your dentist for conformation. If thats the case its treatable with medicine. Scaling is definitely needed for swollen gums.
