Respected Sir, On 12.08.2019 I went to dentist for braces. I was first patient in clinic at 9: 45 am. Dentist done scaling on my gums but she does not changed the scaling tip. Scaling tip was already attached to extension this means scaling tip was not sterilized after using person at 9: 00 pm on. Previous day, My question is if suppose scaling tip was used on HIV patient at night 9.00 pm and same non-sterilised scaling tip is used on me at morning 10.00 am (time gap shall be of 12 hours) will I get infection of HIV from this negligence act of dentist?

HIV virus cannot survive such a long time outside the human body. And you are being overly sceptical as most of the doctors will take care to use sterilised apparatuses and they will be extra vigilant if a patient is HIV positive
