I have been prescribed tenglyn m 500 in morning after breakfast and glycomet 500 at night after .i hb1ac test range is 6 to 6.2 .i today mistakenly took tenglyn m 500 at night. I immediately drank glass of water with sugar so to avoid sugar fall. Am I right.

Hello, Thanks for the query. I have seen the details and undertand your concern. However, Tenelegliptin and Metformin both compounds usually do not lead to hypoglycemia. Drugs belonging to sulfonylura like glimiperide and Gliclazide can lead to hypoglycemia if either food is delayed or missed. If you have any question please do come back. Thanks.

No, you should not have done that. Only if you feel symptoms of low sugars (tremors, uneasiness, sweating, hunger) then you should have some sugar. If you have a glucometer, check sugar levels before having sugar, to avoid unnecessarily high sugars. For the first instance, it's ok. Nothing to worry about.
