M 3 months of pregnancy and now my doctor advises me to take lupenox 40 until the delivery so is there any side effect of using this drug for a long period?~

Hello. Lupenox is a low molecular weight heparin containing enoxaparin. There are certain conditions like recurrent pregnancy loss due to antiphosholipid syndrome (aps), thrombophilia, history of thrombosis, other risk factors like obesity, ivf etc where these medications need to be given .usually it is safe and doesn't require much monitoring.

No, side effect if you are not allergic to it. But if bleeding occurs immediately stop this medicine.

Your doctor had prescribed it for saving your baby, so its essential in case of recurrent pregnancy loss etc, you will have to check blood coagulation profile frequently along with platelets while on the dug.
