I have pcod but in treatment had duphaston but periods didn't come still. Checked the test it was negative. But having cramps in abdomen and lower back. Yesterday got light pink spotting only little. Doctor prescribed me regestrone tablet. But still I have doubt. Can I be conceive? Or is it good to take beta hcg test. Pls suggest. What is the reason of that spotting?

Hello. If you are seven days beyond your periods and still if urine for pregnancy test is negative than it's unlikely to be pregnancy. Blood for bhcg is much more specific and if negative rules out pregnancy. Generally we prescribe progesterone for withdrawal bleeding if pregnancy test is negative and periods doesn't occur by 2 weeks beyond the expected date.

You can either wait for 7 days, if periods do not start then repeat urine pregnancy test. Or you can go for serum beta hcg levels.
