My rabbit accidentally has multiple fracture. He has stopped eating from today. The leg is plastered but still he is not eating. We did x-ray and found that the bones have not been aligned properly. What can be done. Medicines taking currently gripe water semolyte vet sachet 1/3rd thrice daily. Neopeptine 1-2 drops melonex drop.

Fracture of the tibia is another danger in rabbits. The wound must be sterilized, and the fractured bone pinned or splinted if the lower part of the limb is affected. Osteomyelitis (bone infection) and/or gas gangrene can quickly set, and should be treated appropriately with broad-spectrum antibiotics.
