My husband had recently done his band ligation due to vomiting blood so can he add tamarind to his food as it helps liver to grow n recover.

You need to understand that once the symptoms like bloody vomiting is difficult situation. This is a clear indication that the liver had started failing that causes oesophageal varices which in turn causes bloody vomiting. There is no cure for that and very little chance of liver recovery. Adding tamarind will not do much. However you can delay the progression of this and reduces such episodes of vomiting. You need to make sure that your husband take slight protein in food and passes at least 2 stools per day.
