Hi, I got the non-hormonal copper iud inserted 7 days ago, the day my period was due. However my periods don?t always come on the exact date they are due and my doctor decided to insert the iud anyway. 7 days later, I still have the iud but no period. I?m wondering if I should be concerned or does the iud delay periods?

Ideally IUD should be inserted within few days of period so that one is sure that there is no pregnancy, unless woman is sure that she did not have intercourse after last period. Consult same Gynecologist

It may delay the period. Still take proper check upmif it does not appear in few days.
