I am 28 years female. I am 9 weeks pregnant. My doc has prescribed me cap fol 123 which contains 5 mg folic acid ip, vit b 12 1 mcg ; and dha 200 mg. Along with tab progesterone 300 mg that has to be taken once daily till 12th week. Along with this she has prescribed me cap mab plus which also contains 1.5 mg folic acid ip and vit b12 etc. This cap has to be taken at alternate days till 12th week now my concern is can I take these medicines without hesitation? Is 6.5 mg of folic acid is too much to be taken or it is okay at alternate days.

it's not too bad ... Don't worry. it's not very much harmful. now that you have crossed 12 weeks then you can stop folic acid and switch over to iron and calcium tablets

Hi, you should not be taking more than 5mg per day of folic acid. So you can skip the Mab plus.
