I have a history of pcod (menorrhagia) from puberty. I get my periods once in 3 months and once it starts it doesn't stop.(had a maximum flow for 90 days) post which doctor put me on oc pills. I'm on pills from the past 20 yrs. I recently had a baby. Got my periods 7 months after she was born. And the issues surfaces again. I took pause, deviry. Now they r pitting me on cream for 20 days. Is there no cure for this? I don't want to be on pills for the rest of my life. I'm planning to do a lifestyle change once I stop bleeding. Like yoga, healthy diet, good sleep, timely food and exercise. Kindly help me in any way you could.

I hope all other causes of menorrhagia have been ruled out. Your complete pcod profile, usg and blood tests should be done. There are twice weekly non hormonal medicines available for controlled bleeding. What could be beneficial in your case cannot be predicted. But options are available. As for lifestyle changes, I feel you should make them as early as possible. Do not wait for the situation to change for you to begin exercises etc.
