I take a walk of 1 hr a day or else do running 3-4 km's 2. Eat less oily food and no sweets 3. Smoke 2-3 cigarette a day 4. Salads by 5 pm 5. Have started eating breakfast at 8.3 am my lifestyle has totally changed now is it possible that I can live my life stress free and the way I used to live before after doing such an intense workout and diet? Can my tablets go away gradually and start over the same lifestyle I was living before.

Every thing is possible but one should act wisely according to present situation. Stick to your life style changes, monitor blood sugar regularly and keep in touch with your treating physician.

Mr Pushkar, Thanks for the query. I have seen the details mentioned. Following are my observations and suggestions : 1) There is no mention of current fasting, PP glucose levels and HbA1c%, so difficult to know how good is the control. 2) There is no mention of weight and height & age, necessary to know the effect of "lifestyle change" 3)Your life style change is a necessity for healthier living. Whether one has diabetes or not a good lifestyle is a must. 4)Total stopping of smoking is a must. 5) There is no mention of lipid profile so difficult to know how is that situation. Your present life style not an intense change. This is what you should be following (without smoking) Usually diabetes once set in is difficult to reverse totally. However, there are instances of reversal. But modified lifestyle has to be part of your regular living. There is no shifting back. If you have any questions please do come back.
