My son is 11 months completed .he is suffering with cold and dry cough. Cold ---- adricold 0.8 ml morning / night cough--- ascoril 1 ml morning/ night do I need to change medicine for dry cough .and how to get quick relief. Thanks rajini.

Give your child plenty of hot fluids in the form of thick soups using herbs like ginger, mint, coriander and season them well with salt and pepper (as much as your child tolerates). Also make it a habit to give your child frequent sips of hot water. Your child's paediatrician has prescribed adequate medicines. Don't be in a hurry. Go back to your paediatrician if your child develops a fever, otherwise just reassure your child and keep plenty of tissue paper handy to wipe the snot away as it will take 3-4 days for the viral cold to subside.
