My dad (age 66) was affected by cat nail scratch yesterday and there was little blood. He was taken to a clinic and as prescribed by doctor, he has to take 0,3,7,14,28 doses rabies vaccine. He started to take abhayrab vaccine from yesterday. But my concern is that I searched through internet that it is very much necessary to take human rabies immunoglobulin if there is any bleeding. Could you please confirm me whether it is mandatory or not. If yes, could you please suggest me the name of the human rabies immunoglobulin (available at any drugstore) with the requisite doses of it?

I don't think he requires iv immunoglobulin as chances of rabies after cat scratch is negligible and unnecessarily exposing your father to them is not advisable.
