I developed vaginal infection after delivery I was put under medication (pessaries and antibiotics) for a month but it dint subside. It continued for a year (foil smell in vagina. Now again I started the course ciplox twice daily for 5 days and cansoft for 6 days. The smell completely vanished. Now it's come back again after a week. What could be the problem? And wat can be done?

Hello, Vaginal infection is most commonly is due to candida, bacterial vaginosis and trichomonas. Foul fishy smell is typically associated with bacterial vaginosis. Apart from above chlamydia, gonorrhoea and other viral infection are quite common. You need to maintain local hygiene. Use cotton undergarments avoid dettol or other types of douching vaginal discharge for bacterial and fungal study need to get both partners treated rule out diabetes.
