In my mother's report of urine c/s, growth of candida albicans are seen. And it is suggested to treat vagina with local anti-fungal cream and systemic anti-fungals are not recommended. The doctor gave her diflucan (fluconazole) 150 mg capsule and cranberry drink. I just wanna ask you that this prescription of doctor is correct or not? Following are the remarks given in her report: urinary deposit: pus cells= 16-24/ hpf in 10 ml urine. Yeast in thus urine sample show colonization of vagina. Please treat vagina with local anti-fungal cream. Systemic anti-fungals are not recommended. I will be very thankful to you if you help me with this. Regards, malaika gohar.
