Pre-diabetic condition is considered when hba1c% is between 5.9 to 6.4%.hba1c% > 6.5% is diabetes. Since you are on metformin 1000 mg twice a day, there is a possibility of getting its side-effects like repeated loos motions and other gastrointestinal symptoms also.
