Hi I have been experiencing persistent nausea for over a month. I was put on pantoprazole + domperidone (80 mg + 40 mg) but it didn't help. Later I was put on rabeprazole + mosapride but it also didn't help. I don't know what to do. I have seen 3 doctors. They say I have anxiety and depression. They have also prescribed anti depressants but I am not taking them. I don't feel I am depressed at all. I just got a better job than my last one and I also don't think that feeling nauseated all the time is even a symptom of depression or anxiety. It's been a month and no doctor is able to figure out what's happening. It has completely disrupted my life. Only lying down on bed helps with nausea and nothing else. I am unable to go to work or meet friends or even do daily chores properly. I don't want to live this way! please help!

As you described in my opinion you may have anxiety which is causing neusea. Do some breathing and relaxation excercises, it will help you a lot in a one or two weeks. Continue it for 3 months at least. Hope you get some relief.

Persistent nausea can be either psychogenic but definitely need to rule out medical causes by getting usg & upper gi endoscopy. Also get a complete blood workup like cbc, lft, tft, rft done. You may try using self administered anxiety & depression inventory to figure out if you really suffer from such condition.

There is a condition called cyclical vomiting syndrome. Vonsult a psychiatrist. It may not have nothing to do with depression or anxiety but they do precipitate the condition.
