I met a car accident. Got my skull fractured. Found out its a transverse temporal bone fracture along with grade 4 facial palsy. I stayed din hospital for 8 days then they discharged me. It's been 22 days I am on 40 mg steroids right now but still there is no improvement. I am confused whether my face paralyses with go away or not.

Skull fracture to the temporal bone is responsible for causing facial palsy. It is not considered permanent, but in rare cases, it does not disappear. Currently, there is no known cure. However, recovery usually begins 2 weeks to 6 months. A more detailed discussion may help to understand your actual medical status. Thanks.
