My mother has nscl lung adenocarcinoma metastatic egfr mutation positive. No liver or bone metastatic. Only in lymph node. She treat with daily gefitinib 250. So what is life expectancy?

I suppose egfr exon 19/21 would be positive. In such case the median pfs will be 10-12 months. 5 years survival of such patients is around 40%

The life expectancy in a metastatic lung cancer has conventionally been dismal, maybe 6 months. But with newer generation medicines like gefitinib, even metastatic cases can live upto 2-3 years. In any case, I am curious that if the disease has spread to just lymph node, why are you calling it metastatic, it may be addressed with curative intent. Please share your pet ct report for further query.
