Hi doctor, i?m 32 female suffering from pcod post delivery after 1 year. When period comes it did not stop for around 20 days. Consulted gynecologist she prescribed ovral g tablets. I took it for 21 days then stopped periods came on third day after stopping. Now having severe stomach pain in pelvis and back pain. Using 5 pads daily today is third day of period. Unable to walk freely. Kindly suggest what can I do. Thank you.

Pcod patients go for anovulation and amenorrhea. The bleeding after that may be excessive. Now you can get the bleeding controlled by tapering dose of regesteron 5mgm. That is, now you start with regesteron 5mgm 1-1-1 x 5 dys, then 1-0-1 x 5dys, then 0-0-1 x 5 dys. Total 30 tablets. Wait for 7 days. Then you will get normal periods.
