I am frequently going to pee since last week. My ph level. Is 7.5.i have been given tablet nitrofurantoin 100 mg three times a day for 5 days syrup citrasol three times a day. Is it okay to. Take it all my blood reports are fine.

Hello, thanks for the query. Madam one of the reasons for increased urination is urinary tract infection (uti). If uti is present then there is an increased frequency, plus there may be a burning sensation while passing the urine as it becomes more acidic. An alkaliser like citrasol is given to reduce acidity. Nitrofurantoin may have to be continued for some days. Have done a urine routine check up & microscopy to know if there is any infection? Blood reports at the most may show a slight increase in wbc count. Thanks.
