Sir, I was suffering with frequent urination in night. Doctor advised ultrasound whole abdomen done 4 months back. The liver was normal 15. 1 cm, kidney size was 9.7x4,6, prostate was 4.6x3.1x3. 8=29 cc, enlarged 25%. Urologist prescribed -urimax d, tab. Now on ultrasound, prostate is normal, urination in night reduced but kidney size reduced to 8.8 with small cortical cyst. Liver is also slightly enlarged. The tab urimax d has been stopped. It is also found via urometry that flow/pressure of urine is also low. Please advise me what is the effect of reduced kidney size and small cyst there. What medicine, test, treatment should be taken? Thanks and regards.

The medication prescribed to you is a combination of a non selective alfa blocker and a 5- alfa reductase inhibitor, it has its effect on prostate. It has nothing to do with your liver size or renal cortical cyst. For treatment of your poor urine flow, send me your uroflowmetry reports.
