I'm 27+5 week pregnant. I have gestational diabetics. Sugar report (on 19/3/20) was fasting-129, pp-137, pl -148. So doctor gave insulin 8 units in morning, 4- after noon, 10- night. Today took betnesol injection today at 7 o'clock. Doctor told it will raise blood sugar. Today 2 hrs after breakfast my level was 240. I'm very afraid. Please give suggestions. Will it affect my baby.

You should consult your doctor on phone ,monitor your sugar - do your sugar test before taking meals and 2 hrs after meals. If sugar levels are raised you may have to increase insulin dose. Ask your doctor about insulin dose according to the sugar levels.

Your dose of insulin can be increased only on the doctor's recommendation. You need not worry about long term consequences as this transient rise in sugar subsides 3-4 weeks after giving betnesol. But during this 3-4 week you need to strictly monitor your sugar levels and consult for change in dosage if required.
