Doctor, my baby is 3 months and 25 days old. She is passing stool 5 or more times daily for last couple of days. As per doctor's advice we have started antibiotics for her for 5 days. Taxim and other medicines. Urine culture was done and the colony count was 20000 or bacteria name was e-coli. Friday evening medicines got ever. Today also, she has passed stool for 4 times so far.

Hi dear greetings for the day! is your baby on top feed and not on breastfeeding. Try to encourage on breastfeeding and keep her hydrated.

you can repeat the urine culture after 48hours of stopping medicines. other than frequent stools if your child does not have any fever,abdominal discomfort, vomitting thn you should not worry. frequency of loose stools will settle. just make sure your baby does get dehydrated...so ensure adequate breast feed......... UTI at such young age is uncommon....so you should get a USG KUB done gor your baby
