Female married patient ,age 27 ,gall bladder removed last 2 years back, from last 6 months she is using period regular tablets (femilon), from last 10 days she is suffering with heavy headache and dizziness, doctor said it is vertigo ,now she is using vertin 16 mg tab but still headache is continuing ,any other tablet is required? Please suggest us, what should we do?

Hi lybrate-user, one cause of your headache can be use of femilon tablets. Estradiol tablets are know to cause headache as a side effect. Just try changing to some other contraception method and see the effect. Thank you.

Patients on oc pills have risk for csvt. If severe headache and vomitings you have to rule out that. She requires mri brain with venogram. Meet nearest neurologist .it's an emergency.
