Micturition is without pain but urine volume is scanty. He has lost appetite but no nausea or vomiting. He feels some heaviness on the right side of the abdomen though not with abdominal pain. He never had fever at any time during the illness. Requirement 3: at this stage of the history, you considered Mr. Duncan may have a cardiovascular problem of slow onset and that his past medical history might be relevant to the present illness. What information in his past medical history will you want to know of. You have summed up your history as a middle-aged man presenting with palpitation and cough that is productive of whitish frothy sputum and bilateral swollen feet. He is fatigued, lacks energy and lost appetite for food. He suffers shortness of breath and a thopnea without dizziness or fainting. He has a past medical history of hypertension but is poorly complaint and defaulted in treatment for months. From the history, you suspect Mr. Duncan is suffering congestive cardiac failure. Requirement 4: enumerate the physical examinations you will carry out on Mr. Duncan?s cardiovascular system. Instruction: list at least three findings ? negative or positive under each component of the physical examination.
