I have nasal congestion and sleeping disorder may be sleep apnea. Doc suggested me lorfast am and medrol tab. But medrol also affects immune system. Should I take medrol as immunity in necessary for fighting infection.

Avoid using oral steroids for a long time without doctor's supervision. Nasal congestion can be treated with anti-histaminics, saline nasal sprays and steam inhalation. If required, steroid nasal sprays can be used for relief supplemented by short course of decongestant drops containing xylometazoline. It is important to understand cause of nasal congestion for any effective treatment. Kindly consult with a specialist in person and avoid self medicating with steroids.
