Hi I am 33 year, pcos patient. Recently I started spotting with abdomen pain, back, and leg cramp. My tvs test is normal and my doc has given me meprate medicine for 7 days and she said after leaving medicine on 10 day you will menstruate and this way I will shed the uterine lining. Doc says your hormonal imbalance is the cause of spotting. I have apprehension. Is the treatment is going in the right direction.

Weight reduction is must if you are obese or overweight. Diet and exercise have role definitely. Irregular period, scanty period and sporting even after withdrawal medicines is common in pcos. You have not mentioned whether you are married or not and having fertility issues! if you have fertility issues then you should plan as early as possible and if you don't have fertility issues then weight reduction and life style modification are helpful to you.
