My dad is 69 years old and he had tb a year and half ago. He completed his akt4 course and he recovered! 2 days ago, he took a cold shower in the evening and by the end of the evening he had chills and fever. Dolo didn't help that much. Doctor prescribed cefix 200 and zerodol p, it kept the fever reduced for 12 hours and it turn backs again with 102 and chills. He coughs 2-3 times a day which is equivalent to not coughing at all. He left smoking after been diagnosed for tb. And he doesn't drink. I'm really worried. please tell me what's happening to him? Is it pneumonia? Can pneumonia be without cough?

He could have developed lower respiratory tract infection like bronchitis or pneumonia. You should have continued the antibiotics. Get a blood test and an x ray chest so that appropriate antibiotics can be started. I am available for online consultation and my code is sded16.
