My dad is 69 years old. He was diagnosed with tb a year and half ago. With akt4 medication, he recovered. He left smoking when he was diagnosed with tb. He doesn't drink. 4 days ago, my dad took cold shower in the evening and the fan was turned on. By the end of the evening he started having chills and got fever. Dolo helps only for a few hours. Doc prescribed cefix 200 and zerodol p, it worked on da 1st day but it didn't show any affect from day 2. He has persistent fever with chills. Dolo helps but the fever reoccurs! please tell me what's happening why is his fever not going away and why is the medicines not working i'm really worried!

Most likely it seems viral fever. First of all you should do temperature charting 4 hourly. Continue dolo 650 mg 6 hourly. Maintain hydration. Since 68 years old with history of tuberculosis. High risk for covid19.
