Hello. I am trying to get pregnant for last 2 years. My gyne suggested me to try at least 3 cycle of letrozole 2.5 mg twice for 5 days. If I take letrozole tablet again without trigger shot what will happen further. Is trigger shot necessary for ovulation all the time? Because I cannot go for follicular study at this time. I am very confused I want to try letrozole in this cycle also if there is no side effect. Please suggest me.

It is best to monitor the size of follicles when ovulation induction is done. So it is recommended to get follicular study done when you take letrozole. Trigger shots are not necessary all the time. Taking ovulation induction drugs without monitoring follicular size may result in rare but dangerous adverse effects like ovarian hypersrimulation syndrome.in case you cannot get follicular study this time, consider cancelling this cycle. You can resume treatment from next month.
