Hi, my cycle is usually longer than 28 days, 35 to 40. However I had unprotected sex on 6th day of my periods. It started on 1st may and we had unprotected sex on 6th may. How do I know if I will become pregnant. Should I take contraceptive pill as I am not sure if this will cause pregnancy as my evaluation maybe late because my cycle is longer. Please advise asap.

It's possible. A woman is most likely to get pregnant if she has unprotected sex anytime during the six days that end in ovulation, when her body releases an egg. This is because sperm can live in your body for up to six days. But we have to look into the details of the problem. Let's have a detailed discussion for better advice and healthy lifestyle.
