Hi. I am expecting and I had a tvs last week at 5 weeks where the gestational sac was 10.8 mm and the yolk sac was 3.6 cm. The radiologist also wrote ?a tiny fetal pole seen?. No measurements were given. However, I went to ob/gyn yesterday and she did a transabdominal ultrasound at 6 weeks and said she could?t see anything but a single gestational sac. She said she can?t still see the fetal pole or the fetal cardiac activity and asked me to come after 2 weeks. When I showed her the tvs scan image, she said I can?t see the fetal pole, the radiologist might have been doubtful so she wrote she saw one. My question is which doctor/report in your opinion is correct? The tvs one or my ob/gyn? I?m a bit shocked my doctor wasn?t even able to see the yolk sac on the scan let alone the fetal pole. My hcg levels as per yesterday were 62,000.

Take the sonography report after 2 weeks. It is difficult to detect this early. Usually tvs is more reliable.
