My father, who is 60 year old, experiences vertigo, vomiting and sweating. These suddenly happens at night and in the interval of 2-3 months. He regularly feels a certain kind of noise in his left ear in which there is hearing loss also. We took him to one ear specialist doctor, who told the dryness of nerve of left ear is the reason of all and suggested medicines such as absolute 3g, and verbet 16. Is it safe to take verbet 16 regularly?

He must be having tinnitus, meaning ringing sound due to mild or moderate sensorineural hearing loss. Vertigo is also part of the same syndrome. Absolute g is ok to take, it's for nerve strengthening, verbet 16 only if vertigo is severe. To be taken only if required. But not regularly secondly, as you have already consulted ent specialist ,go for pure tone audiometry test, to assess ,the degree of his hearing loss, and further to help can go for the hearing aids, which will help him subjectively.
