Hi so I started having heavy bleeding for 3 days with huge blood clots but the weird part is I bleeding in the day and when I go to bed I don't bleed and again I bleed only in the day so I called my doctor and asked her the reason and she suggested me a tablet to stop my heavy period (regestrone cr) is it safe for me to use it? Am I gonna gain weight by this tablet?

Yes it is but you need a urine pregnancy test if possible and an usg.

Hi Lybrate user, I need to know if you are married and sexually active. Get a pregnancy test done to exclude pregnancy. Because if it is threatened abortion treatment is totally different then regesterone will not help. Get an ultrasonography do e to ascertain the cause of bleeding.
