I am 31 years old and I am using alcohol and chewing tobacco from many years, my height is 5'10 and my present weight is 103 kg which is previously 94 kgs. My question is that 4 years ago I was diagnosed with survival spondylitis so that I feel very uncomfortable and much more at bed time even taking exercise from physiotherapists, so my family doctor has advised me to take seloken xl25 mg and that really works for me from that time I am continuing this seloken xl25 mg daily 1 tab in morning, but last year I was feeling discomfort again and in test my triglycerides level was slightly high and my doctor has advised me diet plan, exercises and ecosprin av 75 but I did not took that medicine and only follow diet plan and yoga and after some time I was feeling good and now from last 1 month I wanna quit alcohol and when I did not take alcohol I can't sleep with discomfort and irregular pains in chest (specially in night), so again I have to consume alcohol for sleep, now my doctor has prescribed me exercise, yoga, diet plan and #ecosprin av 75 (for 10 days). Is it safe to take and stop ecosprin av 75 after 10 days? Please guide me, I am a lower middle class man and having so many responsibilities so I don't wanna die soon and also I don't have enough money for treatment. Please advise me the best as soon as possible.

Ecospirin is aspirin which is a blood thinner. It's given to prevent clots from forming. As your triglycerides are high, you are overweight, you regularly drink alcohol and you are also showing symptoms of chest pain aka angina. These are risk factors and shouldn't be ignored as it may lead to heart attack if not treated properly. Please take the medications as prescribed by your doctor. Try to reduce weight by physical exercise. Eat healthy high fibre diet. Avoid oily and fried food items. If your triglycerides are very high then you may need to take medicine to bring it back to normal. Consult your doctor for the same. Regarding your alcohol dependence problem. Don't worry. It is very much treatable. All you need is motivation to quit drinking and the medications will do the rest. Please consult me or any other psychiatrist for alcohol detox treatment.
