My question is, I am taking one vertin 8 mg per day only. Can this tablet be cut to half each 4 mg to reduce the dosage. Is it habit forming? I am having tinnitus and hearing loss in left ear.

Vertin is usually given 16 mg thrice a day for vertigo. I don't think 4 mg will help in anyway. Also it is usually safe to take vertin for a month also. I would suggest to consult a doc online regarding your tinnitus and hearing loss for better diagnosis and management. Vertin isn't going to help much here.
