I would suggest exclusive breastfeeding for 6 months. This will be beneficial for both mother and baby. But of formula feeding is unavoidable, then proper dilution is to be maintained. Total hygiene to be ensured right from preparing the formula to feeding the baby. Bottle feeding should not be done. Katori and spoon feeding is the preferred method. Changes of formula don't cause any major problems except the baby might dislike a new taste. Formula fed children in general have increased chances of getting more infections, tendency of constipation is more.
