Hi doctor. I am having pcos complaint and my periods are irregular with very big cramps. Doctor prescribed me femilon twice daily one week and 1 tab a day from 8th day. And asked me to stop after the pack and said that I will get bleeding after two days of stopping the tablets. But I got periods after seven days. Now what is the process of taking femilon. Shall I take it from day 1? Or pause--mf is ok to stop.(if it's heavy bleeding). When should I start femilon now? How long should I take femilon? My age is 31 and we are planning for pregnancy but there is no chance of it as my health condition is like this.

You need to discuss in detail about continued use of pills. Especially if you are planning on next child. Yes you can start on day 2. But staying on pills will not allow ovulation. Hence no child bearing. It's a contraceptive pill.
