Your child cannot yet be labelled as slow development or developmental delay. Wait for 2-3 more months before panicking. However, knowing some history would be helpful. Was his birth uneventful or he required nicu stay? Is he picking up objects, saying bisyllables like ma-ma etc? Does he have seizures? Anyway, hopefully you have started home based diet. And going back to your question, the drug maybe used as an adjuctive .but will not be permanent solution. If milestones are not achieved even after 2-3 months, then thorough investigation will be required.
