Hi I have hair problem so I consult doctor in 2018 she advice me to take combo of finasteride with icon 150, feronext with omega5, follihairwith again for four months, after taking tablets I have jaundice then I will not continue tablets so hair fall increases so now I am taking minoxidil 5 per? Is it k taking only minoxidil stop hair fall also minoxidil does cause any cancer or cancer type disease? Kindly answer me.

If you use minoxidil alone, you can get optimal results. Unless you have any nutritional deficiencies.in which case you may have to taken the supplements also. Finasteride has been shown to give good results when combined with minoxidil compared to minoxidil alone, but it has been reported to cause sexual side effects. A better/ safer alternative to finasteride would be dutasteride. However, frankly, in my practice I have found minoxidil alone to give fairly good results, and only in a few cases where it doesn't give optimal results have I needed to add finasteride / dutasteride. As for the second part of your query, no, minoxidil has not been known to cause cancer.
