I passed blood in my stool two times last week. After that everyday I feel pain when passing stool but bleeding is not that severe for the past four days. I don't have itching or burning sensation. I am taking doxycycline with lactobacillus capsules prescribed by my brother. He s a doctor. Kindly tell me what is the reason for that intense pain when passing stool. My stool is not tight. It is little bit loose. And I am taking daflon500 along with it. Please tell me how many days it will take to get cured. Please tell me. Thanks a lot for all the doctors.

Hi. Passing blood in stool has multiple causes. The blood due to haemorrhoids is painless so that's out. We have to rule out other causes of painful bleeding with stools which can be fissure, infective ,ibd etc so need to be evaluated and you may require sigmoidoscopy after ruling out acute fissure.
