Hello Lybrate user. Ldh stands for lactic dehydrogenase. It is an intracellular enzyme that's is present in almost all the tissues. Pregnancy itself does not affect the ldh levels. When tissues are damaged by injury or disease, there is increase in the level of ldh in blood. It has been studied as a biomarker for the severity of pre-eclampsia (the condition that you currently have). Normal values are between 200-400 iu/l. High values are related to poor maternal and fetal outcomes. Your value of 309 is not alarming but needs to be monitored along with other pih markers.
