Hello dr! I am 23 year old female with bmi 28, I had pcod and was prescribed with krimson 35 for 2 years but now my cysts are clear. I stopped hormonal pills and experiencing irregular periods every 13-14 th day and bleeding is very light since the last 2 months. But there is a strange thing happening before the onset of periods my lower abdomen become swollen and fluffy like a balloon and bulges out like a pooch. Also I experience heaviness in my pelvic area with strange pulsation/ vibration/ contraction, I have never been through this before these 2 months. Is there anything to worry about? Kindly suggest.

The inadequate flow during periods could be a signal of thyroid dysfunction. That should be checked. Apart from that a little swelling before periods is quite normal. But it seems to be limiting hence if you could contact me we can discuss and decide on the appropriate action to be taken.

Good evening. I understand your problem. But your weight is very high. U should try to reduce your weight then only your periods will improve. At present your weight is 75 kgs, you should reduce your weight to 65 kgs atleast. Then your periods become normal. Get thyroid test, usg pelvis scan and follow up with me. We ll plan the management.
