I am suffering from jock itch which has reappeared after 9 june earlier I had it from november 2019 to february 2020. I want able to complete my treatment course on time and now it has reappeared again and I think it is spreading to my anus also. This time when it reappeared I didn't visit a dermatologist because of cavity 19 epidemic and from july month I also started applying clotrimazole cream without any consultation and the infection even has started spreading to my buttocks. I will not be able to visit the dermatologist right now so please tell me is there anything I can do to get rid from it at home and is it okay to use normal talcum powder at that area.

Good evening. This seems to be an uncomfortable recurring issue for you and since you are not able to consult a qualified dermatologist in person, at least make an online/video consultation at the earliest so that the diagnosis can be verified if possible, and proper extent and severity noted, so as to plan the appropriate course of treatment. Unfortunately, there are no proven home remedies for extensive 'jock itch' and medications need to be prescribed. Normal talc powder will not treat the fungus but will help keep the area dry, fungus tends to prefer a sweaty environment. Have a good day.
