Both have similar symptoms like. 1.Fever, Loss of appetite, yellow coloration of urine and conjunctiva(eye) 2.pale coloured stool, pain abdomen in the liver area, 3.serum bilirubin level is raised, In Hepatitis B, HbsAg test is positive 4. Hepatitis A infection resolves after few days but Hepatitis B virus remains in blood for a long time It can affect liver and can cause Cirrhosis of liver and cancer liver if not treated. 5. Hepatitis A virus is transmitted through fecal contamination of drinking water, but Heptitis B is transmitted through sexual exposure and handling of infected blood/blood product.
