Well for a new born baby 15 to 20 stools per day is normal if baby is passing urine normally. U just need to make sure that baby latches well to the mother. And gradually milk output will increase. Newborn baby usually losses some weight for first 10 to 15 days, so may look weak to you. Just continue with breast feed.

Increased frequency of stools on first few days after delivery will settle down and doesn't require any medicines but if baby is not able to take breast feeds properly you have to get it checked and correct it.

Try to give mothers milk. Initial few days, amount of breast milk will be less, but dnt worry. Baby on breast feeding can pass stool multiple times even 15-20 times, but nothing to worry if baby is feeding well. Syrup & sachet I dnt think needed. If feeding issue, you can expressed breast milk & feed by spoon/katoori. Weight of baby?
